Horizon Workrooms. Test-driving Marc’s little personal Metaverse.

We just finished a test session on Horizon Workrooms - for the first time since M1 Macs are supported. Our students from the #XRLabMCM at the University of Münster prepared a workshop and Workrooms performed absolutely great!

You can bring your desk into VR working on your Mac with keyboard and mouse, which also makes screen sharing easier than in real life (no adapters needed! 😉). You can doodle on whiteboards using an Oculus controller as the pen.

At the same time, the feeling of co-presence is very strong because of cool-looking avatars and crystal-clear spatial audio. A real plus: everybody who can't join with a VR headset can use a video call to participate.

Very, very cool!

For smaller groups with up to 16 people it is really the best way to have a meeting in VR.
